A great new book :)

Yesterday I started reading a new book and couldn't put it down until I had finished it. I learned about this book in the recent Deseret Book ad. I checked my local library and found out the book was on order so I placed a hold.  Less then a week later the book was ready for me to pick up. It just came out in March 2015.  Lucky me! I stopped to make dinner for my family and put the kids to bed but not much else got done.  I thought I would share the book with you in case you are interested in reading a really good book.

This is what the back cover of the book says:

Update:  My teenage daughter read the book after me and she thought it was only so so.  So you may or may not like this book, but I loved it.

Spring Break 2015

We enjoyed a leisurely spring break at home this year.  We got to tend a bunny for some friends who went out of town.  They brought their big bunny hutch to our house and we kept it in our garage.

 Each day Megan, Melissa and Nathan would take out the bunny and play with it.  It was big and brown and friendly.

 On Monday Scott took the day off of work and we headed north to the Skagit Valley Tulip fields.  We took lots of beautiful pictures posing among the tulips.

Tuesday we did a lot of shopping and on Wednesday we had some of our Moulton cousins come over for lunch.  Then we went to the park together.  Most of the kids posed for this cute picture but two of the little boys hid.

Thursday Melissa had a birthday party with the girls from her school class.  They played with the bunny as one of the party activities.

 On Friday we picked up cousin Katie and went Roller Skating with her.

 Saturday I took all the girls plus cousin Katie to Ikea.  That is fun but tiring place.

Today I am thankful that:
*We were able to get the big dent fixed on our car.  It looks good as new now.
*We decided on a new carpet color and got it ordered.  We can't wait for our new carpet!
*We got to watch all the sessions of general conference.  Now I have new conference talks to enjoy as I drive around town.

March fun!

On March 20th and 21st I went to Time Out for Women in Seattle with some ladies from my ward.  The talks and musical numbers were great but my favorite part of the weekend was hanging out with these fun ladies.  This is a picture of us after we ate lunch at MOD pizza in Seattle.

 Emily is on the badminton team at her school and I recently went to one of her games.  She and he partner were always hitting their rackets together which was cute.

Melissa and I also worked hard in March on her famous person project.   She made this nice presentation board and I made her costume.  I bought a white sheet from a thrift store and some blue ribbon from a craft store.  Then I sewed the ribbon onto the sheet.  It was difficult to get the ribbon lined up just right and I did poke my finger with the sewing machine needle once (ouch) but the costume turned out cute.

The kids put on a living museum at their school last week which was followed by the school art show.  Melissa's class had made colorful bowls.

 Megan's class made college mascots out of clay.

Another class made turtles out of class and their display was super cute.  You can click on this picture to see it better.   

 One of the ladies in charge of the art night drew all these picture frames for kids to color in.

 Megan had a fun time filling up some of the frames.

Nathan is quite an artist too.  Last week he enjoyed coloring with chalk in our cul-da-sac.  He made an awesome dinosaur.

We are looking forward to Easter and General Conference this weekend.  My mom and dad sent us a box of Easter goodies which was super sweet.  I can't believe my parents will be home in 4 months from their 23 month mission.
