A Valentine Monster and a Baby Blessing

Last week Nathan and I bought some green cardstock and green and red foam paper from the craft store.  Nathan needed to make a Valentine box for school and wanted it to be a green monster.  First we covered the shoe box with the green cardstock and covered four toilet paper tubes with green foam paper. All the ideas were Nathan's but I did the cutting and glueing.  Here is the picture before we glued it all together.
Here is the after picture.
The day after we made it Nathan decided it needed a little more decorating.  Notice the side teeth, the red horns below the eyes and the red scales on each side of the back.  Nathan sure has some good ideas.  We hope his kindergarten classmates won't be too sacred to put his valentines into the monster's mouth.
Megan and Melissa wore their Seahawks jerseys to school on Friday.  Since the Seahawks won the superbowl last year almost every student has Seahawks clothes now and they all wore them on Friday in support of the Seahawks.
On Sunday we attended the baby blessing of my newest niece Caroline.  Here I am holding her.  She is 5 weeks old in the picture and very tiny.
Melissa is holding baby Heidi who is three months old.  We attended her blessing in December.
Here are my sister in laws with their baby girls.  How fun that their daughters can grow up together.
My kids had fun watching part of the Seahawks super bowl game with their cousins.
